Easter Ellister farmhouse is situated on the Rhinns of the Isle of Islay, an island on West Coast of Scotland which boasts over 237 square miles of peace, tranquillity, and outstanding natural beauty and is famous for its Malt Whiskies.

Easter Ellister farmhouse dates back to 1880 and is situated on a 600 acre private estate of forest and farmland with over twenty Highland Ponies, a private collection of Arctic Waterfowl and of course a few sheep, cows and hens!

The farmhouse was renovated in 2003 to provide guests with a luxurious, spacious, and homely environment.

The large house boasts:
* 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 10 people. (3 twins, 2 doubles).
* 3 bathrooms (1 en-suite bath/shower), downstairs wc.
*Large dining room with log fire, and bar, CD player.

Easter Ellister will be closed in December 2010, January and February of 2011 to allow us to have an exciting new face lift. Although Ellister is still a high-standard of 4 star accommodation I feel that it is time for a new colour scheme!

All of our public and bedrooms will be getting a brand new look with Laura Ashley wallpapers and new Laura Ashley furnishings, since this look has been so popular at An Linnean, my other house.

I hope all my regular visitors, and new guests alike, will be pleased with the results. New pictures will be added as soon as our new look is unveiled.
